A studio,
not a car wash.
Climate-controlled two-bay space in South End. Softbox lighting rig built for inspection, filtered water, infrared curing lamps. No drive-through lane, no volume work — the bay holds one car, and it holds it as long as the job takes.

How a car
moves through.
The process is the product. It hasn't changed since the race shop, because it didn't need to.
01
Inspect
Your car goes under the softbox strips with you standing next to it. Paint-thickness readings, gloss baseline at eight points, and an honest written quote. No work starts on a guess.
02
Decon
Foam, two-bucket wash, iron remover, clay. Everything bonded to the paint comes off chemically before anything mechanical happens. Most cars have never actually been clean before this.
03
Correct & protect
Machine polishing to the agreed stage, checked panel by panel under the strips. Then the protection: coating cured under infrared, film wrapped at the edges, or sealant on wash days.
04
Document
Gloss readings re-measured at the same eight points and printed. Warranty registered. Walk-around under the lights before keys change hands. The printout goes home with you.
“We read gloss units before and after — you get the printout. If a number can settle an argument, why would we argue with adjectives?”

“Black BMW that had been through two years of tunnel washes. Marcus walked me under the strip lights before quoting anything and showed me exactly what Stage 2 would and wouldn't fix, including one scratch he refused to chase because the gauge said no. Sixteen hours later the car looked wet parked dry. The gloss printout said +31 GU; my eyes said more.”
“Had the Stage 1 polish and interior detail done before my lease inspection. The inspector found nothing and my wear-and-tear statement came back at $0. Easy to schedule and it was ready when…”
“Lake Norman water had etched rings into the hood that three different washes couldn't touch. They polished them out, coated the truck, and filmed the rockers where the trailer spray hits. A…”
The studio stays put. The standard travels.
One South End address, drivers from ten towns. Lake Norman water-spot rescues, I-77 chip repair prevention, Ballantyne lease-return prep — each area has its own pattern, and we know them all by now.
Why one car at a time?
Because the failure mode of detailing is hurry. Every swirl we correct for a living was put there by someone rushing a wash. One bay, one car, one standard. It caps how many cars we can take, and it's also why the work holds up. Race shops don't prep two cars on one lift either.
What is a gloss meter, and why do you keep mentioning it?
A gloss meter measures how much light a surface reflects, in gloss units (GU). We read eight points on your paint before and after work and hand you the printout. It turns 'looks shinier' into a number, and it keeps us honest, because the meter doesn't care how confident the detailer feels.
How do I book?
Request a slot through the site: two minutes, no payment up front. We reply the same business day with an inspection time. Every job starts with your car under our lights and an exact written quote before any work begins.
Do you work on daily drivers, or just show cars?
Mostly dailies, honestly. The standard came from race-shop work; the calendar is full of commuters, family SUVs, and lease returns. Show-car process at daily-driver scope — that's the entire idea of the studio.
One car at a time. Yours next.
